Changes coming in 2026
Starting January 2026, White City inSight will move to a new schedule and format:
- Monthly Digital Editions: Published online each month with a limited number of printed copies available for pickup at the Town Office.
- Quarterly Printed Editions: Every January, April, July, and October, we’ll deliver a larger printed edition to all households.
This new approach balances timeliness, cost, and accessibility.
Why the Change?
Earlier this year, we asked residents to share their thoughts on the Town newsletter. Your feedback gave us valuable insight into how residents read, use, and want to receive Town news. Survey results showed that 54% of respondents find the newsletter useful or very useful, 24% feel neutral, and 22% do not find it useful. The majority of respondents now rely on Voyent Alert! and social media for real-time Town updates, while seeing the newsletter as a helpful way to stay connected with the community. Shifting to a primarily digital newsletter will shorten production timelines, so newsletter updates on services, programs, and events are more timely and relevant. We’ll send Voyent Alert! notices with a direct link each time a new edition is released.
Residents identified Town events, recreation programs, and municipal services (such as waste collection and utilities) as the most useful topics. These will continue to appear in every monthly edition. At the same time, you asked for more variety. Some readers want more municipal details — like budget breakdowns, Council updates, and capital projects — while others requested community stories and family-focused content. The larger quarterly editions will provide space for both, combining informative and engaging content on topics that matter most to residents.
Cost, Sustainability, and Accessibility
About half of survey respondents said they would continue reading if the newsletter went digital only, citing cost-saving and sustainability as key benefits. However, 27% of respondents requested printed copies continue. To maintain accessibility, a limited number of printed copies will be available for pickup each month at the Town Office — just grab one next time you stop in.
We’ll review this new format in 2026 to ensure it continues to meet residents’ needs.

We will distribute printed editions of White City inSight by Canada Post at the beginning of each quarter (January, April, July and October). We aim to have the newsletter arrive in your mailbox within the first three days of the month.
