HOME ALONE PREPARATION COURSE
The YMCA of Regina has developed this program to provide you and your child with valuable information to prepare for the next step on the road to independence. This certificate program will help build your child’s self-confidence, sense of responsibility and decision-making abilities through a fun and interactive environment of role play and discussions.
Date: Sunday, April 19, 2026
Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Location: Hall C, White City Community Centre, 12 Ramm Ave E
Cost: $42 per child. No refunds will be issued
Registration: Registration opens on February 18 at 9:00 am. Starting February 18, click here to register for the course.
Important Notes:
- Please pack a lunch!
- This program is open to children ages 10 years and up. Children who are turning 10 by June 30, 2026 can register if parents believe they meet the Readiness Indicators below.
Readiness Indicators:
- Does your child want to be on their own?
- Is your child confident to be alone in the house?
- Can you depend on your child to follow the house rules?
- Can your child deal with unexpected situations in a positive way?
- Can you rely on your child to tell the truth?
- Is your child self-motivated?
