The Perks
For starters, we’ve got incentives to fast-track infill properties. Why? Because we believe in adding value to established neighborhoods while giving a boost to our town's economy.

Tax reductions/abatements are only eligible on the municipal portion of property taxes. No abatement shall be provided for the education portion of taxes.

- Fill out a development permit application.
- Seal the deal with a tax rebate agreement post-approval.
From tax breaks on municipal property tax to reductions for new developments and show homes, we've got you covered:
- For Infill and Redevelopment:
- 100% tax reduction for the first and second years, and 50% for the third.
- 100% tax reduction for the first and second years, and 50% for the third.
- Town Centre & New Developments:
- 50% off in the first year, 25% in the second for residential units.
- 75% off in the first, 50% in the second, and 25% in the third for show homes.
- 100% off for commercial construction in the first year, 50% in the second.
Incentives can switch owners with property sales, but ensure you are following policy guidelines or risk losing them.
Timelines
We're ready when you are! The policy came into effect on August 23, 2023 with retroactive benefits for eligible developments.
