An Annual Report is a comprehensive summary of government activities, projects and finances for previous years. The Town of White City’s (town) first annual report was for the 2017 year and published in 2018. Information for Annual Reports comes from town administration reporting on completed projects and a compilation of the town’s audited financial statements.
The Annual Report is produced to give residents a snapshot of the projects and financial situation of the previous year. This is not a document that is mandated by legislation but produced for the information and meets the responsive and progressive goal of the 2017-2022 strategic plan. The strategic plan outlines an objective to have responsible management of the town’s financial and other resources, ensuring transparency and accountability. The town is meeting that objective with the development of an annual report for ratepayers that informs about the financial activities of the town and strategic plan progress.
