Water Line Repair - Road Closure

Please be advised White City Public Works will performing repairs on the town's water infrastructure on the east side of 54 Meadow Road on Wednesday Sept. 15, 2021 (Weather Pending).

Town crews will be in the area and a portion of the road may be closed to all traffic during the repair. Please avoid the area as there may be traffic delays due to large equipment on the road. At this time, the town is not anticipating any residents will have issues accessing their driveways.

Residents at addresses 57 through 65 and 54 through 66 Meadow Road, will experience temporary water service interruption, including low water pressure, between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At this time, the town is highly anticipating that these service addresses will be placed under a precautionary boil water advisory following the repairs. The Water Security Agency makes the final decision on ordering a precautionary boil water advisory for the Town. If a precautionary boil water advisory is ordered, the Town will hand deliver a notice to each residence affected. In preparation, residents should stock enough fresh water for drinking and cooking.

• Please have all curbside bins rolled out prior to 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 15th to avoid service interruption.
• The Town will advise the Prairie Valley School Division of the repair to avoid issues with school bus pick-up.
• Following the repair, if any residents experience discolouration or air in their water line: please run the cold water for a few minutes to clear water from your service lines.

Any updates will be shared as they become available. Please contact the Manager of Public Works, Gary Schmidt at 306-552-3848 if you have any questions.
