Councillor Rebecca Otitoju

Rebecca was born and raised in Nigeria, West Africa. She came to Canada in 1992 to join her husband in Didsbury, Alberta. Summer of 1992 James & Rebecca moved to Regina for James to pursue his Master’s degree in Cross Cultural Missions at the Canadian Bible College & Seminary. Their four sons later joined them in 1994 when they decided to make Canada/Saskatchewan home.

Rebecca has over 35 years of experience in public service both in Nigeria and Saskatchewan. She is very active in the community through faith and community organizations. She is instrumental in the establishment of the Ambassadors for Christ Ministries Inc., Princesses of the King Christian Organization International, Daughters of Africa International to mention just a few and has sat on different boards of non-governmental organizations.

Rebecca and her family moved to White City in 2002. She is a mother to four grown up sons and also a grandmother. Currently, she runs a childcare service in her home, serves as co-senior pastor of Ambassadors for Christ Peace Gate Church (Garden of Eden Estate) in White City, and she’s pursuing her Master’s degree in Theology at Briercrest College & Seminary in Caron Port.

When asked why she ran for council, she saw it as an opportunity to give back to the community and be a part of the dedicated men and women who are working hard to ensure that we have a community we can be proud of.
